  formed Handle District are excited to invite you to participate in the 1s
 t Annual Sacramento Parade of Lights. The countless lights\, floats\, marc
 hing bands\, dance groups and theme vehicles will entertain thousands of v
 iewers.\n\nThis premier event will be a magical holiday parade that will i
 lluminate the Handle District. It is our hope that we have at least twenty
  prominent floats that represent Sacramento's vibrant community\, with our
  ultimate goal over the next couple of years to reach one hundred floats. 
 In 2010\, we hope to expand the parade route to bridge Old Sacramento\, Do
 wntown and Midtown and create a huge family tradition. However\, with this
  year's late start\, we thought a smaller route would be manageable. \n\nT
 he mile route begins at 17th and Capitol Street and continues up to 19th S
 treet\, over to L Street and continues down L Street until the State Capit
 ol.\n\nStart time: 6pm
