Habitat for Humanity’s (HFH) National Women Build Week is a week long event created by its Women Build program and made possible by Lowe's Home Improvement that invites women to devote at least one day to help families build strength, stability, and independence through housing. The week is meant to spotlight the home ownership challenges faced by women.

National Women Build Week is held the week leading up to Mother’s Day in 300 communities across the United States. More than 80,000 women from all 50 states have volunteered at the eight previous National Women Build Week events. Here in Sacramento, HFH will be hosting over 100 women for their Women Build Week from Wed (5/10)-Sat (5/13).

Registration is $75 and includes participation for one day of building, lunch, and a Women Build t-shirt. Spots are limited to the first 100 women to sign-up. Must be at least 18-years of age to participate. The West Sacramento Lowe’s will be hosting an optional training clinic on Fri (5/5) 11:30am-1pm for those interested in learning and practicing new skills prior to the build day. T-Shirts for registered participants will be available for pick-up at the clinic.
