Bringing the Condors Home
July 15-September 14, 2008
Add Review/Comment
North America’s largest bird, the California Condor was once dangerously close to extinction. In 1982, the total population of the species consisted of only 22 individuals. Today, that number has increased to 299 birds, with 147 living in the wild. Bringing the Condors Home tells the inspirational story of this fascinating bird and the dedication people have displayed to keep the condors flying high. Come discover the extraordinary lives of condors in this interactive exhibit. Produced by the Ventana Wildlife Society.
