Animals with backbones are featured in this exhibit. You can compare and contrast skulls and skeletons from different vertebrate animals, large and small. Hold the twelve inch giraffe backbone and then one from a bird. View X-rays of animals and humans in the Doctor’s office. Take apart a large plastic model of a human torso and learn about the organs inside.
A special table takes a look at a plastic human skull and models of the organs in a skull, such as the eye, the ear and nose. Discover the different between horns and antlers. Sit down in the 'living room' with six skeletons of animals we have around us in our homes.
Interactive play stations include: trying on skeleton costumes under black lights, pretending to be a Doctor in the Doctor’s Office and eating in the Healthy Bones Diner. The diner features information on healthy eating. It has space for children to work in the diner and drive up window or be a customer.
