An Evening at the Fort, 1846. It’s a November evening, you quietly “eavesdrop” on the conversations and tales of the pioneers occupying Capt. John Sutter’s fort in New Helvetia. The hustle and bustle of midtown Sacramento melts away and in its place the soft glow of candlelight welcomes you to life in the 1840’s. This is a once-a-year theater-like program.
