Honorary Chair - Congresswoman Doris Matsui; Co-Chairs - Dr. Dorothy Enomoto and Jerry Enomoto U.S. Marshal - ret.; Keynote Speaker - Lt. Colonel Lee Archer, Tuskegee Airman and first African American to achieve "Flying Ace".

This event is organized by the MLK Committee, a non-profit organization [501(c)3] dedicated to the proposition that the annual MLK Event symbolizes the principles of freedom and unity, and the celebration of diversity, that highlighted the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Proceeds from this event benefit local charities.

      I have volunteered at this event many years now and have to say it is one of the most I look forward to attending. It is such a great way to start off the New Year in getting involved with the community and what this Celebration stands for; hearing great stories, meeting new people and exposing to diverse cultures. It is such an inspiring and motivating event, that more young people should become involved in and represent the New Future. We should keep this in mind 365 days a year not only one night or one month. There were some exceptional words and comments from Retired Monarch, Ruthie Bolton, as well as Retired Kings player Chris Webber, that I recall, and as Keynote Speaker Chris Webber mentioned, we really have to share our stories with others as we all can make a difference and our Dreams and our Beliefs are attainable.       I have volunteered at this event many years now and have to say it is one of the most I look forward to attending. It is such a great way to start off the New Year in getting involved with the community and what this Celebration stands for; hearing great stories, meeting new people and exposing to diverse cultures. It is such an inspiring and motivating event, that more young people should become involved in and represent the New Future.
