Bone Zone

What’s under your skin and beneath your muscles? Bones! Bones are the fabulous structures that are the foundation for animal bodies and which provide each with distinctive shapes and features. You can bone up on skulls, teeth, fossils, and skeletal structures at 'Bone Zone,' a major interactive, hands-on exhibit for the whole family.

A special table takes a look at a plastic human skull and models of the organs in a skull, such as the eye, the ear and nose. Discover the different between horns and antlers.  Sit down in the 'living room' with six skeletons of animals we have around us in our homes. 

Interactive play stations include: trying on skeleton costumes under black lights, pretending to be a Doctor in the Doctor’s Office and eating in the Healthy Bones Diner. The diner features information on healthy eating. It has space for children to work in the diner and drive up window or be a customer.
