A seed of magic and discovery sprouts into a beanstalk of caution, danger and adventure in Stephen Sondheim's wry fairy tale musical – a witty look at Jack, Cinderella, Rapunzel and Little Red Riding Hood for those who once were children but have forgotten the lessons of youth.     Unbelievably well cast show, quality like this is only available in Sacramento through California Musical Theatre. All of the performances are excellent. The production value is fantastic, ineresting... Expand

The production value is fantastic, ineresting and professional. Sondheim is challenging, stimulating and a cure for the usual, silly, tired shows that seem to be so popular now. Collapse
