Book signing and Family Program, Inspiration Barbie: Barbie and Ruth, Robin Gerber’s new book on the life and times of Barbie’s creator, Ruth Handler is an amazing look at the woman behind the toy company Mattel. Barbie was created to be an inspiration for little girls to dream big and Ruth’s legacy of perseverance, rebirth and innovation is an inspiration in itself. Gerber will give a lecture on Ruth’s life, and the Museum will have crafts and games perfect for a mother-daughter day of bonding. Event is free with Museum admission.
