History Camp specializes in California history from 1848-1860. Campers visit Old Sacramento Museums and local historic sites. In between visits to the museums, campers participate in hands-on activities such as gold panning, creating currency, playing old fashioned games, traveling in a horse drawn wagon, and solving mysteries in our history.

Special exhibits will include a demonstration from a member of the Pony Express Association, a covered wagon exhibit, and an Old Sacramento Scavenger Hunt. Discounted registration is available for Members. History camp introduces campers to new and exciting locations, fulfilling curriculum requirements, and most importantly, engages history campers in their local history. Registration begins April 1.
