Skinny Singers is comprised of two of California's most celebrated singer-songwriters. Together, they represent a musical force that is awe inspiring. They are also very skinny. Tim Bluhm is a member of the highly influential rock band "The Mother Hips". www.motherhips.com www.timbluhm.com Jackie Greene plays and sings original songs with his band and solo.
Reminiscent of Bruce Springsteen's returning to the Stone Pony, national recording star Jackie Greene returns to Marilyn's on K, giving local fans a rare opportunity to enjoy the artist in an intimate setting.
These appearances always sell out, and this show will be no exception.
Tim is currently producing records for Jackie Greene, Hot Buttered Rum, The Traditionist and Little Wings. He worked on the new Mother Hips record, produced by Dave Simon-Baker (and released at Marilyn's last year). He plays in the Mother Hips, Skinny Singers and Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers. He lives and works in San Francisco. In July he hosts the High Sierra Singer/Songwriter Workshop with his friend Steve Poltz. Four days of writing and hiking and swimming in the Ansel Adams Wilderness of California's High Sierra.
