Do you have the "right stuff" to be an astronaut? Will you be a robotics expert? A life support scientist? A navigator calculating the correct course comet? An engineer in charge of building an unmanned probe? A medic ensuring the health of the crew? A communications or data expert?
You and your friends and family can choose your roles on a simulated mission in space and learn what astronauts really do! Experience the wonder of space exploration! See what it’s like to work for NASA while you perform hands-on science experiments nodeled on real-life astronaut tasks. You’ll be working in the Challenger Space Center’s Mission Control room, designed after Johnson Space Center and the Spacecraft, designed to simulate a room onboard a future inter-planetary space vehicle.
The program includes a short mission training session and a 90-minute simulated space mission. Crew assembly begins at 5:30pm to select your job, mission launch is at 6:00pm, and we will return to Earth at 8:30pm. Astronauts must be over the age of 9. 9 & 10-year-old astronauts must be paired with an adult crewmember. It's fun! It's interactive! (It's even educational!!!) Reservations required, because even "outer" space is limited.
