Towe Auto Museum is offering a two-part class that teaches how to tune up Model A Fords. The first day will include the demonstration of tests and measurements of the starter/battery, engine condition (compression tests), ignition service (spark plugs, points, condenser), and fuel system checks (tank, carburetor cleaning and adjustments). The second day will include performing each of the demonstrated tests and measurements on Model As.
Handouts for Model A services will be provided. Students who have a Model A, are encouraged to bring the car with them and all checks will be performed on the owner’s vehicle. Students who do not have a Model A will still have the opportunity to assist with tests and measurements.
