Walking tours return to Old Sacramento. The Historic Old Sacramento Foundation offers an array of walking tours including an architectural tour, From Canvas to Brick, focusing on the development and expansion of Sacramento from a water-logged tent city; and a Sacramento City: California's Gold Rush Legacy tour which introduces visitors to Sacramento's fascinating history and many themed tours. The themed tours focus on Sacramento City and its diversity with topics/themes including: Medicine, Waterfront/Sacramento River History, Political History in Old Sacramento, 1960s Redevelopment and Disaster & Recovery. Private tours and school tours can be scheduled year round on weekdays, weekends and evenings with a minimum of 4 people per tour. Tours start at the Sacramento History Museum.
