Waddle be happening on race day? On race day, both sides of the beautiful Sacramento River will be buzzing with activities that are fun for the whole flock!

Old Sacramento’s “Duck Central” at Waterfront Park will feature entertainment & family activities, not to mention the hundreds of unique shops, historic museums, and delightful restaurants throughout Old Sacramento. Local music favorite Hans Eberbach (The Nibblers) will dazzle us with his soulful sounds while the ducklings enjoy face painting, crafts, games & mascots in Quacky's KidZone.

In West Sacramento, race day festivities will be included as part of the popular “Neighbors Fair”- which kicks off at 11am with a hometown parade, followed by a full day of fun at Riverwalk Park including live bands, food and wares from local artisans.

The ceremonial Duck Du,p will be held at 3PM and winners announced at 4PM. You do not need to be present to win!

Take the plunge & help change lives! We need your help--you can take the plunge by sponsoring a duck for the race or by becoming an official Feathered Friend to help us sell even more ducks.

Join on race day for family festivities in Old Sacramento and the popular West Sacramento Neighbors Fair. Bring your online Duck Sponsor receipt valued at $25 or more to "Duck Central" in Old Sacramento or at the West Sacramento Neighbors Fair and receive a commemorative Special Olympics Derby Duck (while supplies last).

Sponsor a duck for the race and you'll get a great `Virtual Goody Bag` with your Lucky Duck's Birth Certificate and lots of free stuff like a free Quick Quack car wash, music downloads and more! Become a feathered friend and help raise money for Special Olympics by selling ducks to your friends, family, and coworkers.
