Fall Family Festival

Bring your family and friends for the Discovery Museum’s one-day Fall Family Festival. We're kicking off the fall season with a day full of fun. There will be carnival- inspired games for kids 12 and under with prizes and a goodie bag. Play Go Fish, try your aim at the Bean Bag Toss, join the Cupcake Walk, choose your favorite flavor at the Lollipop Tree,get your face painted -- and lots more!

Our resident robot, Cosmos, will also join the festivities, chatting with visitors from all planets. Visit with various community groups on the grounds who will share important information with your family, including the Lions Club of Rio Linda doing free child fingerprinting and safety cards. Picture opportunities will abound, so bring a camera! With all the excitement outside, don't forget to visit inside the museum. Our Got Trees? exhibit and Fly Me to the Moon! exhibit are extremely popular for all ages.

Carnival Games are for children 2 and over. Planetarium shows are for guests 4 and over, and wildlife presentations are for all ages. Extra wildlife programs are scheduled during the Festival.

All activities are included with regular admission fees.

Hot popcorn, drinks, snacks, gourds, corn, and pumpkins will be available for additional purchase.
