This exhibit features the Japanese American community from immigration and internment during World War II, to their struggle and success in seeking redress for the loss of their constitutional rights. This display, featuring photographs, art, furniture, and crafts made in the internment camps, is drawn from the rich Japanese American Archival Collection developed by the local Japanese American community and housed at Sacramento State. Uprooted offers a unique opportunity to learn about the experiences of people who have struggled and triumphed in claiming their place in California history and their rights as Americans.

I had a chance to visit Sacramento with my wife and daughter, who was studying abroad in Oregon. we were very much impressed with those Japanese families trying to live happpily with the terrible situations. I wish to obtain a copy of it. It would be much obliged, if someone would kindly teach me what I could do. Collapse
