Effective Arts Experiences for Drop-in Settings: Panel of presenters and interactive activities
How do you plan substantive lessons for an unknown student population, or a fluctuating population? How can we develop lessons with multiple points of entry without dumbing down the content? How do you handle classroom management in these settings? Effective lessons will be shared and experienced and resources for further study provided.
TAWS is a free series of distinct workshops on a variety of topics of interest to artists who also want to teach and build careers as teaching artists. The series is developed and presented by the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission’s Education staff with regional and national presenters from the visual and performing arts and education fields.
Although there is no fee for the workshops, you must be a working artist who either lives or works in Sacramento County to participate. The workshops run from January through May. Register NOW! For a complete list of workshops and registration procedures please log onto the website.
