Increase your confidence in approaching lesson planning for community and school settings for all ages. What are the essential elements of a great lesson? What arts pedagogy or approach is best for you? How do you choose what to teach? How do you structure it to keep students engaged? Leave with resources to take your lessons to the next level of effectiveness.
TAWS is a free series of distinct workshops on a variety of topics of interest to artists who also want to teach and build careers as teaching artists. The series is developed and presented by the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission’s Education staff with regional and national presenters from the visual and performing arts and education fields.
Although there is no fee for the workshops, you must be a working artist who either lives or works in Sacramento County to participate. The workshops run from January through May. Register NOW! For a complete list of workshops and registration procedures please log onto the website.
