The Magic Window exhibit has been extended in the main gallery, but a new art treat awaits in the front gallery. The work of Jeff Musser, a Verge studio artist, will be exhibited from January 9 through February 20, 2010. The show includes oil paintings, pencil and ink drawings, and posters from Musser's current body of work which intersects masterfully portrayed human figures with his intense study of modern day tattoo and body art. Musser was born and raised in Sacramento, returning after receiving a BFA at the Chicago Art Institute. He joined the Verge Studio Project in May of 2009. Musser's exhibit will have two Second Saturday receptions on January 9 and February 13, both from 5-10pm.

We will have small works displayed (paintings, drawings, studies and posters) many of which are brand spanking new!

Studio tours will also be in effect so those that have not yet been to the Verge, get on over and check it out!

Magic Window: Featuring 11 Sacramento and Bay Area based artists, Magic Window encompasses a wide breadth of work that exemplifies the diversity of painting today. From Patrick Marasso’s masterfully recreated oil paintings of candid photographs and Gale Hart’s politically based abstract figurative work, to Andrew Patterson-Tutschka’s formal exploration of urban landscapes and Jacob Fossum’s introspectively driven self-portraiture, Magic Window promises something for everyone.

Artists include David Fiveash, Jacob Fossum, Gale Hart, Cynthia Horn, Rhia Hurt, Patrick Marasso, Robert Minervini, Patricia S. Patterson, Andrew Patterson-Tutschka, Gina Tuzzi, and Sara Wanie.
