Jack's Mannequin: Formerly known as the frontman for Something Corporate, a West Coast punk-pop quintet that garnered a modest following during the early 2000s, Andrew McMahon is also the piano-playing songwriter behind Jack's Mannequin. The release of Everything in Transit on Maverick Records in August 2005 was received with positive critical response and debuted at number 37 on the Billboard album charts. However, a supporting summer tour was cancelled after McMahon was diagnosed with Acute Lymphatic Leukemia that same summer. He underwent a successful bone marrow transplant from his sister and embarked on the long road to recovery. As McMahon recovered, a video for the album's first single, "The Mixed Tape," began making waves on VH1 and MTV.
Opening Acts:
fun. is a threesome made up of The Format’s Nate Ruess, Anathallo’s Andrew Dost, and Steel Train’s Jack Antonoff. The trio melds a stunning array of diverse inspirations – spanning Broadway to The Beach Boys. With their album Aim and Ignite, fun. have crafted something special indeed, a contemporary rethinking of classic 70s pop, where ornate arrangements and inspired orchestrations meet present-day rock ‘n’ roll.
Vedera, of Kansas City, led by femail vocalist and guitarist Kristen May, has quickly garnered the respect of national touring bands since they formed in 2003. The band has opened for bands such as The Get Up Kids, Thrice, Acceptance and Murder by Death.
