    Presented by California Auto Museum (Formerly: Towe Auto Museum) at California Automobile Museum

    This new workshop series for 2010 consists of four different workshops centered on alternative powers and is taught by American River College professor, Arthur Blank. Students must be at least 16 years of age and minors must be accompanied by an adult.

    Alternative Fuels Workshop --- February 20, 2010.
    Examine energy sources that are efficient fuels, sustainable fuels and eco-responsible fuels. Learn about alternatives fuels such as CNG, LPG, biodiesel, ethanol, hydrogen fuel cell technology, electric and hybrids, solar, wind, atomic and others. Learn what others are doing, where the state of the art is and where "green" energy/fuel investment is going.

    Hydrogen Fuel Cell Workshop --- March 13, 2010.
    Hydrogen has the potential to revolutionize transportation and, possibly, our entire energy system. Learn about hydrogen fuels cells that can power our cars or even provide the electricity for our homes in out of the way places that have no power distribution grid.

    Electric Vehicles Workshop ---- April 24, 2010.
    An electric car is a car powered by an electric motor rather than a gasoline engine. Learn about this coming trend for our vehicles, how you could convert a gas car to an electric one at home, why it all comes down to the batteries and where you can buy an electric car today.

    Biodiesel Workshop --- Saturday, May 8, 2010.
    Tired of high gas prices? Here is your chance to learn how to combat them. Learn the what, how, and why of biodiesel and be given the opportunity to create your own small batch of biodiesel.
