Fania Night - A tribute to the salsa music of Fania Records

The Yemaya Salsa Dance Company will host "Fania Night," celebrating the music of Fania Records, the record label powerhouse of the salsa movement of the early 70s. We will feature Grammy® Award winning vocalist Willy Torres of Spanish Harlem Orchestra backed by Aaron Routtenberg Project. We will also feature salsa dance workshops and salsa performances by some of the hottest salsa entertainers in the world.

Confirmed are: • Willy Torres of Spanish Harlem Orchestra • Luis and Anya – 9-Time International Salsa Champions and current World Salsa Champions • Edwin Rivera from the movie “El Cantante” • Junior and Emily from “America’s Got Talent” • Latin Symbolics, Symbolics Mambo • Salsamania Dance Company • Afinkao Dance Company • Couture Dance Alliance • Enrique and Elly • Orilé Obiní all ladies group • Giana and Nery • DJ El de la Clave, of the Bay Area's best DJs and more…. • With Special Guest MC and Original Fania All-Star, “Mr. Salsa” Izzy Sanabria

Join us for a full day of dance workshops by some of the hottest salsa entertainers in the world. This event will be taped, courtesy of Access Sacramento. 70's fashion is highly encouraged.
