The I AM Women’s History Award is to celebrate women of all ages and to recognize outstanding community work. The event will celebrate historical accomplishments of women of all nationalities and ethnicities with the intent to provide young women with a historical reference for present and future success.
Sacramento’s best and brightest young women from various backgrounds will be performing poetic recitations, original monologues, and dramatic presentations vying for scholarship money and the right to be crowned as the first ever I AM Women’s History scholarship winners!
Scholarship prizes will be awarded in three categories: 1st-5th grade, 6th-9th grade, 10th-Jr. College (in the amounts of $500, $750, $1,000).
