Laissez les Bons Temps Rouler- Let the Good Times Roll! Come celebrate the French culture of Louisiana and French Canada. The Alliance Française de Sacramento sponsors the annual Fête de la Francophonie. Open to the public, this is an all-day event for the entire family.

Enjoy French language films, food, and fun! Try your hand at cooking authentic shrimp étouffée, learn the history of French Canada from a guest professor, bust out some moves at the Cajun dance lesson. Children will enjoy making Mardi Gras masks and sampling the fare of French Canada and Louisiana.

DON'T MISS THE CAJUN CONCERT!! Three-time Grammy-nominated Cedric Watson and his band Bijou Créole direct from Louisiana, for one night only. Sponsored by the Alliance Française de Sacramento, don’t miss the toe-tapping sounds of Bijou Creole on Saturday March 20, 7-10 PM

Tickets: $15 Alliance Française members/$20 non-members/$25 at door. One of the most noted young talents to emerge in Cajun and Creole music, Cedric Watson is a fiddler, vocalist, accordionist and songwriter. Enjoy Cajun songs with Creole and zydeco in this band's true-to-the roots Southwest Louisiana sound.
