Loyalties are put to the test in the turmoil of the Bear Flag Rebellion, and tempers fly as California, for a moment in time, becomes its own Republic. Rebels capture Sonoma and General Vallejo is brought to Sutter’s Fort, forcing John Sutter to declare his allegiance and eventually raising a new flag over the Fort. Meet the men and women who became part of the short-lived Republic of California it is a brief and exciting moment in time at Sutter’s Fort.
