Demonstration Day: Mining the Miners
July 17, 2010
Add Review/Comment
Those who were willing to risk their lives crossing the frontier for an unknown land were ready and willing to gamble for riches. Before the Gold Rush, emigrants wagered what they had on cards, dice and other games of chance at Sutter’s Fort. Learn the games they played and the stakes they raised as the pioneers risk their fortunes, large and small at this historic demonstration day.
