Perceiving the Landscape: Digital Photography Workshop
May 2-May 15, 2010
Add Review/Comment
In the 19th-century, the vast and dramatic Western American landscape was documented through the rapidly changing medium of photography. During part one of this two-part workshop, participants will examine landscapes in the Crocker’s photography collection with associate curator Diana Daniels and learn the basics of formatting and composing shots with a 19th-century perspective with photographer Douglas Dertinger.
In part two, at an offsite location, Dertinger will facilitate discussions of how we view landscapes today. Lunch and materials provided. Bring your own Digital SLR camera.
Reservations are required.
This workshop is presented in partnership with California State University, Sacramento.
