This year we are relaxing our rule on having to wear Urban Dare t-shirts throughout the race. If you have a team costume, you do not have to wear Urban Dare shirts. We will have prizes for best costume and for best picture. Let the fun begin!
Urban Dare Sacramento
Now in its fifth season, Urban Dare comes to Sacramento on Saturday, May 15. This year the challenge is even bigger – with 28 cities hosting events nationwide! We will be announcing the start location for Urban Dare Sacramento soon. Check-in begins at 11am and will continue up to the start of the race at noon. It's like a 1-day Amazing Race. Take the dare!
Getting Ready for Urban Dare
Urban Dare is the race where smarts can beat speed. You will be solving clues to find checkpoints around town. You need to figure out the most efficient order to proceed. We encourage you to call friends for help solving clues, and you may use your hand-held devices at will. You should bring a phone, a digital camera (can be your phone), a map, and a pen to take notes. You will cover about 5 miles and face fun dares along the way. Dares are a combination of mental, physical, or just plain silly challenges.
Winners get a 3-day Royal Caribbean cruise where they will compete on the boat and at ports of call for a $5000 purse in the first ever Super Dare.
