The Sacramento area chapter of the Celiac Sprue Association, welcomes author Lauren Hoover, to its support group meeting. The event is free and open to the public. 

Lauren Hoover, author of “No Wheat, No Dairy, No Problem”, will be speaking about her discovery of her food allergies and how that journey led to developing and publishing her cookbook. Lauren graduated from The California Culinary Academy where she was classically trained, and went onto specialize in pastry. She has worked for numerous hotel chains, as well as The San Francisco Chronicle and Veggie Life Magazine. Additionally, she has taught culinary school in California, as well as earned a psychology degree, which she says helped her discovered her deep desire to improve other people’s lives through writing this cookbook.

The book itself has 150+ wheat-free, dairy-free and refined-sugar-free recipes. These aren't exotic, they're everyday things that we all want to eat, including chili, meatballs, mashed potatoes, fried chicken, and desserts like puddings, ice cream, cakes, cheesecake, cookies, truffles, and more! Using familiar and easy-to-find ingredients like coconut milk and almond milk, agave nectar and oat flour, the recipes have been created and tested by this traditionally trained chef with 15 years experience.

There will be signed editions of “No Wheat, No Dairy, No Problem” sold at the lecture for $26. After the one hour lecture there will be an open forum. Experienced celiacs are welcome to bring snacks to share. Please bring a copy of your recipe for those with multiple allergies.
