In 2010, we'll offer more than 450 sets of live music! That's 24 venues with about 70 bands, including a few dozen internationally-known all-stars. Bring your friends and family—they'll be dancing in the streets! It'll be one giant party as the sounds of jazz, blues, zydeco (and related styles) permeate Old Sac, Midtown, and the Sacramento Convention Center. Specialty concerts and events will be happening all weekend long: an Opening Day Parade on Friday, the Molly Ringwald Quartet on Saturday, a Swing Dance Contest on Sunday (after a rousing Sunday morning Gospel Service) and finishing with Monday's respectful Memorial Day Salute to Service, and energy-charged Closing Ceremony.
NEW! Drexel University's Jazz Master Class Series taught by well-known musicians at this high-tech campus in Old Sacramento.
So much to do! Sip suds on a riverboat, ride on a train, explore the CA State Railroad Museum, learn about the Gold Rush, and more!
