9th Sacramento French Film Festival

The Sacramento French Film Festival is an annual event held in June. It celebrates the present as well as the rich history of French cinema featuring new releases and rarely seen classics. It is the only festival dedicated to French cinema in Northern California and one of only two on the West coast. The Sacramento Bee described the Festival as “the Cinematic Highlight of Sacramento's Summer.”

Opening Night Reception & Film, Fri, June 19: Doors open at 8pm for patrons who are attending the opening night film but not the opening night reception. Opening Night Reception begins at 6pm in the lobby of the Crest Theatre. Opening night film may be attended without attending the reception.

The 2010 program is guaranteed to contain several films never seen before in Sacramento; a wonderful selection of classic French masterpieces by some of cinema's best directors of all time; an eclectic collection of French and local Sacramento short films; and two midnight movies followed by coffee and pastries.
