Just like many other African American entertainers, Barry Brewer, Jr. developed his talent and skills in the church. Along with a love for music, he also had a passion for comedy and at 19 he performed his first live stand-up routine at a church concert. In January of 2004, Barry decided to step out on faith and he moved to Los Angeles to further pursue comedy. Since then, he has performed at many well-known comedy clubs, including The Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory and The Comedy Union. He has also traveled around the country making folks laugh at various venues, including Laffapalooza hosted by Jamie Foxx, B.E.T.’s second season of “Coming to the Stage”, & Comics on Fire comedy competition.

More recently, Barry was a semi-finalist on the first season of Bill Bellamy's Who's Got Jokes which aired on the new TV network, TvOne . Staying true to his Christian roots, Barry also continues to perform at Christian events such as T. D. Jakes’ MegaFest and other church functions throughout the United States. His comedy style has the three C’s approach: clean, creative and cleverly funny. He’s bursting through the windows of opportunity to make his mark in all areas of entertainment.
