Above and Below History Tour

Descendents tell the stories of their ancestors. Hear a descendant explain how CSUS was created through her relative's efforts, find out who used to live where a popular mid-town restaurant is located , and learn who unearthed a stone angel statue buried two feet underground and near its original location in the cemetery.

Stroll through the beautiful City Cemetery on this Saturday morning tour and hear the stories from the families—moving, poignant and even funny, this tour is sure to be enlightening and entertaining.

The tour commences at 10am from the Cemetery’s main gate at Broadway and 10th Street. Visitors may park across the street from the 10th Street Gate and meet at the cemetery entrance. Held under the auspices of the City of Sacramento Division of History & Science, this tour is presented as a public service by the Old City Cemetery Committee, Inc.
