"Legacy" - Kanika and Mary Marshall's Art Show

Kanika and the Blue Moon Gallery will honor Mary Marshall's memory with a "Legacy" art show of the mother-daughter combo. During the 2nd Saturday Art Walk there will be a special artist reception celebrating the ceramic sculptures and original watercolors of the artists. Included will be live music by The Streamliners.

Mary Marshall was an educator-turned-professional-artist in the Sacramento area. Her vivid watercolor paintings of everyday people, landscapes, and abstracts had her unique painterly touch. Her daughter, Kanika Marshall, has been an award-winning clay artist for the past 30 years who infuses tribal colors with exotic clay sculptures, textiles, glass, leather, stone, and recycled metal. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Mary's watercolors will go toward the Mary Marshall Scholarship Fund.
