4th Annual Tejano Conjunto Festival

Land Arrows Cultural Center exists to preserve the traditional Tejano Conjunto music for future generations to provide an opportunity to experience the Tejano Conjunto music as an American art form and to foster an understanding of the importance of this music to the history of American culture.

To work towards our mission, we have organized volunteers and carry out an annual Tejano Conjunto Festival which takes place every Labor Day weekend. This attracts people of all ages to the Sacramento area for this very special and unique festival.

We will provide top musical acts that continue to perform traditional Tejano Conjunto music which has its origins in the state of Texas. Headlining will be Roberto Pulido y Los Classicos, Jaime y Los Chamacos, Niteliters, and Cali Boys.

Younger generations will have the opportunity to see live performances and participate. They will experience legendary performances live and will also have the opportunity to participate in music workshops around the Sacramento area during the Labor Day weekend.

The City of Sacramento in the State of California recognize the cultural importance of Tejano music and join the Mexican American community in urging Spanish-language radio and television stations to serve the entire community by providing improved access to Tejano music and commend efforts by organizations such as Land Arrows Productions to promote the availability of Tejano music in the State of California.

      Ok - for the most part the dance on Friday night was nice. The Sheraton, Sacramento was a good place to stay; but here comes the but....it was way to hot at the dance, the dance floor was way to... Expand

      Ok - for the most part the dance on Friday night was nice. The Sheraton, Sacramento was a good place to stay; but here comes the but....it was way to hot at the dance, the dance floor was way to small, and it was expensive! We have no problem spending the money perro come on - give me a place and some air to breath. On a good note the bands were good, but I could see them for $5 on a good night but we know we are supporting a cause. I hope next year you give out discounts to the people that go to both dance and festival and hopefully you could find a venue with a big dance floor. The park was nice, the music great. All in all we enjoyed our weekend. Thank you all for all the hard work you put into this festival. Collapse
