Formed in 1992, Carbon Leaf released four full-length albums independently before their single "The Boxer" won acclaim as the first ever Coca-Cola New Music Award in 2001. They became the first unsigned band ever to perform at the American Music Awards, and later signed with Vanguard Records in 2004.
The band released their seventh album, "Nothing Rhymes with Woman" in 2009 and were featured in the documentary Red Rocks: Film on the Rocks later that year. They contributed several songs on the soundtrack to Curious George 2: Follow That Monkey, released on March 10, 2010 and have been featured on several television shows including The Dr. Phil Story and ABC's What About Brian.
