Fairytale Town celebrates literacy with this free, two day festival. Thanks to generous support from ScholarShare, guests receive free admission both days! Activities include author and illustrator presentations on the Mother Goose Stage, storytelling performances, a wide array of hands on literacy activities, and a book swap. This is one of the most popular weekends of the year.
Currently scheduled presentations by:
Doug Hansen, author of Mother Goose in California;
Angela Dominguez, illustrator of Ava Tree and the Wishes Three, La Noche Buena, Carmen Learns English;
Patricia Newman, author of Nugget on the Flight Deck, Jingle the Brass;
Michael Glassman & Lisa Ely, authors of Kinder Gardens;
Linda Knoll, author and illustrator of Over the Valley;
Rachel Dillon, author and illustrator of Through Endangered Eyes;
David Schwartz, author of Where Else in the Wild, Where in the Wild, How Much is a Million;
Terri Farley, author of Seven Tears Into the Sea, Phantom Stallion Series;
Tolya Thompson, author of The Smarties Series, including, Wheezing Winona Weatherbee;
Lily Toppenberg, illustrator of Delta & Dawn: Mother & Baby Whales' Journey.
