Doom Bird celebrate their first album release at Harlow's with Bart Davenport and Aaron Ross.
Doom Bird is a chamber pop band fronted by Kris Anaya (formally of An Angle) that incorporates classical instruments into their indie pop tunes... I am not one for descriptions so I will point you to a recent review by Jackson Griffith: "So, well, I just have to go on and on with how completely knocked out and bowled over by this 10-song album from DoomBird that someone passed my way... this is a great album... I think this may be the greatest thing to ever come out of this town, musically speaking. I don’t like to blather with the hyperbole like a dog slobbering over a nearby steak dinner, but homina homina, this thing is (expletive) brilliant."
Bart Davenport is an East Bay, California based singer-songwriter and former member of defunct Bay Area mod blues pop group The Loved Ones and also The Kinetics. He has also played with Persephone’s Bees and is the singer of electro pop group Honeycut. Bart’s own solo tunes feature beautiful harmonies, highly detailed, everything-in-its-place arrangements and high caliber song-craft that contribute to his brand of pop perfection. Indeed.
