Add Review/Comment | Read Reviews/Comments
The new Sacramento Caucus of the National Women’s Political Caucus will celebrate women’s right to vote by sponsoring a showing of Iron Jawed Angels—a film about the last tumultuous years before American women won that right in 1920. The event will be held on the 90th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment—the Women’s Suffrage Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
Admission includes the movie along with ice cream, popcorn, and sodas. Plus, there will be sales of women's history books and raffle tickets for great prizes. Funds raised through this event will go to support caucus-endorsed candidates in the November general election. Seats are limited. Reservations are recommended, but not required, and payments will be taken at the door. Don't forget to bring extra cash for the raffle!
