Eye of the Architect is a unique musical project originally from Placerville, CA, now relocated to Sacramento. They have been playing shows locally since 2005. The music of Eye of the Architect is viral in nature. The structure, frequency, and content are designed to stimulate both the reasoning and creative centers of the brain. We are in some senses trying to convey in sound something similar to what Paul Laffoley is conveying in visual art; blueprints for psychological tools, a modern iteration of myth/archetypes, and an exploration of potential. To have the "eye of the architect" is to be able to see the larger cycle of an experience, and also focus on the fine detail.
Also playing:
In the Silence began with guitarist Josh' Burke's vision of creating a band with an Etherial, haunting and heavy sound, combining elements of European metal ala My Dying Bride, Opeth, Katatonia, Tiamat, with the melodic and richly layered atmospheres of bands like the Cure, Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode, and Dead Can Dance. Viewing music as a spiritual outlet, as well as an escape from the mundaneness of life and an essential entertainment, the goal was always to combine lyrics that are meaningful and poetic, with occult and mystical themes, with powerful instrumentation, solid musicianship, hard rocking riffs, complete ripping but tasteful guitar solos, and great listen-ability and memorable melodies that get stuck in the listener's head!
Blackstone "The Chronicles of Ash Black" are a hard rock band hailing from Arizona. Formerly called Ash Black, the band formed in 1989 in Sacramento. Now they're back as seasoned professionals who play their music for the love and fun of it. With a wide array of rock styles from dark to light hearted.
Arcane Dimension are Teresa Camp on vocals and Jarek Tatarek on guitarviol and acoustic guitars. Formed in 2004, the band carries roots in atmospheric rock as well as more ambient touches of electronic, world, and eastern music. Their goal is to transport you to another place, another time, and a new frame of mind.
