Icons and Innovators features Lila York's Celts, an athletic tour-de-force set to traditional Irish music. Also on the program is Ron Cunningham's Bolero and George Balanchine's The Four Temperaments.

-Celts (The Chieftains/York): Celebrate all things Irish in Lila York’s Celtic tour-de-force to the music of the world-renowned Chieftains. Fleet and fluid, Celts propels the "wearing o’ the green" to new heights of spectacular virtuosity!

-The Four Temperaments (Hindemith/Balanchine): Hip, urban, and edgy! Based on the medieval notion of the four humors, Balanchine’s masterpiece perfectly embodies his creative genius for sophisticated invention and unparalleled musicality.

-Bolero (Ravel/Cunningham): Ron Cunningham’s riveting Bolero builds a sustained intensity, releasing an explosion of pent up energy in the final moments of an electrifying musical climax. Not to be missed!
