The Sacramento Opera has canceled their remaining productions for the 2010-11 season as of December 10, 2010. Single ticket purchasers may obtain a full refund at place of purchase during regular business hours; season subcribers should call the Opera for more information at (916) 737-1000.

Since its premiere in 1791, this opera is one of the most enchanting and beloved works in the repertoire. Filled with delightful music and characters, Mozart’s final masterpiece is a playful, yet profound look at our search for love and our struggle to attain wisdom and virtue. From the Queen of the Night’s virtuosic arias to the folksong-like melodies of the bird catcher Papageno, the full range of Mozart's extraordinary talent is on display in this magical fairy-tale opera.

Music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Sung in English with English supertitles. Appropriate for the entire family.
