The Sacramento Youth Symphony continues its tradition of honoring veterans by engaging in a multi-cultural expression of patriotism and peace through music, art, and the spoken word. The event, “Patriotism and Peace,” is a community event held at the Memorial Auditorium.
The Sacramento Youth Symphony will reach out to all segments of the community by showcasing military veterans, such as the Tuskegee Airmen, and Native Americans, such as the Navajo Code Talkers and the 442nd Regimental Combat Team. The Sacramento Mandarins youth drum and bugle corps will join the SYS in musical expressions of patriotism.
