Lost and Found: Visions of the Davis Art Center presents a visual history of Northern California’s burgeoning artistic community from the late ’60s onward. Highlighting pieces selected from the Davis Art Center’s permanent collection by curator Michele Taylor-Hamilton, the exhibit will be on display in the Tsao Gallery at the Davis Art Center.

Between 1967 and 1992 the Davis Art Center amassed a permanent collection of 148 artworks by 92 artists. Included in this diverse group are ceramics, paintings, drawings, lithographs, photographs, mixed media, woodblocks and fabrics. Lost and Found will consist of 54 works by 34 artists ranging from the funky and figurative, to the quiet and complex. Robert Arneson, Bill Brown, Paul Wonner, Ralph Johnson, Roland Petersen, and Robert Bechtle are just a sample of featured artists who were on the cutting edge of their time.
