Over 6,000 athletes from all over the world will attend for the World Masters Athletics World Championships (WMA) 2011. This is the Men’s and Women’s Masters (Age 35+) Track & Field Outdoor World Championships. The event will also include a marathon, race walk, and cross country run. Athletes will compete for Bronze, Silver, and Gold medals in each event. Age groups are in 5 year brackets.
The main stadium will be at AG Spanos Sports Complex at Sacramento State, with additional competition venues at Sacramento City College, and American River College.
