Musical Charis, a conglomerate of musicians hailing from both coasts (Sacramento, California and Orlando, Florida) recently released their debut EP “Electra City Church Bells” co-produced by Grammy award-winning producer Pete Stewart. The 6 song EP includes songs reminiscent of REM’s Green Album and Jefferson Airplane’s live performances with a modern Fleetwood Mac twist. Unique instruments such as melodicas, harps, toy pianos, and even sitar and shamisen are just some of the fun embellishments to their folk rock backbone.
Charis comes from the Greek word "gift" so the name literally translates to "Musical Gifts" The players give each listener these gifts in the form provocative lyrics, intricate male and female counter melodies, and a catchy rhythm section.
