Wires & Wood is a forum for artists to share their craft. Each episode will feature a specific genre with a Guest Host to represent the musical stylings. This week we will look further into the music of Dylan and Gram Parsons.

Christopher Smith is a voice, painter, storyteller, and wordsmith that is the epitome of what Alan Lomax was searching for in the early 20th century. Original material that offers melody and a vivid peak into Christophers imagination. Audiences seeking a warm and intelligent performance will be pleased.

Arcata, California's Jay Dirt Band (some of Slewfoot String Band) sound like a tough, hillbillified Arthur Lee-led Love when they play Jay's car paean '429,' and we can tell they love Cash, the Byrds, Neil Young, and Jimmy Rogers. Dark and fun. Featuring Jay Swanigan on vocals and 6-string, they will have your toes tappin' and your fingers drummin' with a sound that's a little bit country and a little bit rock 'n roll.
