Brian Goggin is well known in Sacramento for his public artwork at the Sacramento International Airport, titled “Samson”. He creates site-specific sculpture--often with whimsical and unexpected elements. He has received public art commissions from the cities of Seattle, San Francisco, Sunnyvale, and Menlo Park, among others.
Mr. Goggin was recently selected to create a public artwork for Firestation 43, located in North Natomas. He will discuss his past work as well as the public art design and concept for Firestation 43.
This event takes place in the library's Community Room.
