HUMP happens every other Wednesday and showcases new alternative dance music with DJ Whores and special guests.
HUMP welcomes a very special guest, first timer to Sacramento: Jillionaire (Chris Leacock), a Mad Decent and Major Lazer representative from New York City. Born and raised on the Caribbean islands of Trinidad/Tobago the Jillionaire is a DJ like no other. He has previously teamed up with M.I.A, Switch, and Major Lazer and can currently be found representing Diplo’s record label, Mad Decent. Combined with his energetic on-stage presence and versatile sound, he hypnotizes jillions and jillions across the globe.
With over fifteen years of experience, the Jillionaire has created a unique sound which mashes up house, brit pop, dancehall, electro, hip-hop, and soul. Undeniably no DJ on this planet can make the crowd rock to today’s top hits like the Jillionaire can. Besides touring and producing, the Jillionaire frequently acts as an international music consultant for various artists, record labels, and online blogs including maddecent and okayplayer. He has also been a correspondent for countless television shows, with upcoming scheduled appearances on HGTV’s House Hunters, and a music documentary on NatGeo.
